Welcome to the Scottish Doula Network website. We are a network of doulas based throughout Scotland and Northern England who work independently but share a commitment to supporting women before, during, and after birth. Through our work, we hope to facilitate an environment in which women and their partners can have healthy, safe, and empowering experiences as they begin the journey into parenthood.
This web site is intended to serve as a resource where you can learn more about doula services, locate doulas in your area, and find links to other sites which may help you to make informed choices about your care.
As a peer support group, the Scottish Doula Network is not accountable for individual doulas. This website is a resource only and we make no distinction between new and more experienced doulas. We would encourage parents to enquire about a doula’s previous experience and background on an individual basis during their initial meeting together.
